Alcatel plans to integrate Telera with its Genesys contact center software business unit. Telera is expected to focus initially on the market for voice self service solutions, which analysts believe will be worth $600 million by 2005.
The deal is subject to approval by Telera shareholders. The formalities of the deal are not expected to be completed until July 2002.
