Russo departs as the company’s Optical Networking Group experiences a downturn in sales, due to cut back in expenses made by network operators that have fallen on difficult times.
According to a company representative, Russo’s position will remain vacant, as Jayshree Ullal, vice president of the Optical Networking Group, will take over most of Russo’s former responsibilities.
