The module uses one-third less power than other Bluetooth modules. It is also fully compatible with the Blue-RF GSM/CDMA interface, whilst providing a Bluetooth 1.1-compliant 4-dBM max output. Design flexibility is allowed by enabling the use of various clock frequencies.
Bluetooth module is smallest ever
The Bluetooth LTCC RF module claims to be the smallest RF module in the industry. The device will allow designers to use the limited space in cell phones and PDAs more effectively. Its small size is attributed to the use of both a low-temperature cofired ceramic substrate that embeds the filter, inductors, and capacitor, and flip-chip assembly techniques to mount Silicon Wave's RF chipset.
