The move will presumably elicit some much-needed goodwill for Microsoft in Taiwan. The Taiwanese government last week rejected a bid from Microsoft Crop to settle claims of unfair trade practices by the software company. The commission has developed its own proposals and is looking for further price cuts, and improvements in after sales service. The commission maintains that Microsoft has been selling products at discriminatory prices in Taiwan.
