Sega has recently undergone a significant program of organizational restructuring. The company stopped manufacturing its unprofitable Dreamcast console in March of last year to focus on producing software titles for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo games consoles. Sega also sold most of its non-games related subsidiaries.
Sega cuts losses
Japanese video game publisher Sega has announced reduced full year losses of £96 million. The figures represent a 66% reduction in Sega's losses of £279 million in the previous fiscal year. Sega expects to make a return to profitability in the current financial year.
