The Woking, UK-based company was touting its new Inter-content at the recent 3GSM world congress in Cannes, and managing director Kevin Adams said he believes that of the 24 leads it obtained for the new product, it could sign one or two deals this year.
Revenue from the content billing product is likely to build slowly, not least because carriers have yet to decide on their final billing model. But acquisitive Intec is on the look-out for products to extend its portfolio and sees the shake-out among companies supplying the struggling telecoms sector as providing opportunities for purchases.
In the first quarter to December 31, the net loss was 1.7m pounds ($2.7m), down from a loss of 1.9m pounds ($3m) on revenue 4.9% lower at 10.8m pounds ($17.1m).
The company said it is confident that it can meet expectations this year, despite the difficulties faced by its customers. While it numbers 400 carriers as customers, there are approximately 3,500 worldwide so the scope for growth is still considerable.
