Chidester will be responsible for providing leadership for all revenue producing units of Broadwing Communications, including Business Markets, Broadband Services, IT Consulting, and Managed Hosting. He will also direct the company’s brand and channel marketing programs.

His vast background in transport, hosting, professional services, and IT infrastructure, combined with his energy, commitment, and leadership, will propel our sales and marketing efforts, attracting new customers and talented sales professionals to Broadwing.
Prior to coming to Broadwing, Chidester was with Winstar Communications where, during his 3-year tenure, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Winstar General Business. Under Chidester’s leadership, revenues grew over 60 percent per year. Previously, Chidester also held a number of executive positions at MCI Communications during his 16-year tenure. Throughout his career, Chidester has successfully led a wide variety of operating units including: broadband services, internet and hosting services, and professional services, and developed relationships with Fortune 1000 businesses throughout the United States.
