ElasticHosts has integrated cPanel into its Linux Containers.
The move means that customers have access to pay-as-you-use billing, along with increased scalability.
cPanel is a platform that is used for simplifying the process of creating and managing websites. The latest version, v11.52, has made it possible to be billed for the exact amount of sever capacity used, instead of being billed for the amount provisioned, which can lower costs.
Previous releases of cPanel meant that it could only run on VM servers with VPS licensing.
Users of ElasticHosts will be able to run cPanel by adding the appropriate server preinstalled image.
The idea behind offering auto-scaling capabilities is that website owners will be able to more easily cope with varying server demands, in addition to being capable of quick expansion for launching multiple sites.
This, in theory means that during high peak loads such as Black Friday, customers won’t be faced with messages saying that the website has crashed.

A number of companies have been investing significantly in containers. Companies such as Red Hat have been adding enhancements across its hybrid cloud operations.
