Philips has teamed up with Cisco, SAP and Bosch, to jointly market networking systems using Philips programmable lights.

Philips’ partnership with Cisco is expected to brings together the Philips’ LED based connected lighting system with Cisco’s IT network in order to address a global office market estimated to be worth €1bn.

The global alliance in the Internet of Things is also expected to help enable the company’s customers to receive the best lighting.

The light maker is teaming up with SAP for city infrastructure, where it will link real-time information from connected street lights with data from other sensors in a single integrated city dashboard.

Philips has also teamed up with Bosch, Logitech and Samsung SmartThings for connected home lighting, applications and platforms that will be integrate with Philips Hue and are expected to deliver seamless new lighting experiences.
