Microsoft has introduced PowerApps, an enterprise service which will enable users to create basic mobile and web-based business apps without using complicated codes.
The service is now available in preview and the company is aiming to bring more business applications to mobile that have been traditionally tied to PC.
With PowerApps, employees will be able to create apps that will work on any device using a Microsoft Office.
The apps that are designed on a PC can then be accessed on-the-fly through the PowerApps app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
Companies will also be able to use built-in connections to connect PowerApps to cloud services like Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Dropbox and OneDrive, and share the apps like documents.
With Power Apps, developers and IT professionals can build additional data connections and APIs to any of the existing business systems.
It also includes Azure App Service for employee-facing apps, which will help developers to provide native web and mobile apps to employee faster.
Microsoft Application Platform corporate vice president Bill Staples said: "PowerApps will dramatically accelerate how business apps are built, reducing time to solution from weeks or months to minutes and empowering a new category of app creators.
"It balances power between IT and business users, arming those closest to business needs with tools and services to not just envision but also implement the solution.
"It moves what has been for decades a set of scenarios that typically only run on-premises with PCs to being centered in the cloud and delivered mobile-first."
Microsoft said that it has already teamed up with its customers and partners like Toro, Bose, Metro Bank and eBecs to ensure to address the needs of the businesses through PowerApps.
