The system is the result of a 2003 alliance between the two companies set up to create information technology services for banks and insurance companies.

The offering is a combination of business content, core system interfaces and implementation services built by Accenture that is linked to SAP’s existing claims management application. It is intended to help midsize insurers speed the deployment of a claims management system that is designed to reduce operational costs and improve customer service through more efficient claims processing.

The pre-configured claims solution can help provide midsize insurance carriers with the ability to implement a premium solution, priced at the value of midmarket economics, said Colin Davies, managing partner of Accenture’s Financial Services Solution Group in North America.
