GCN reported that ACT will provide systems support to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) employees using government-owned systems and Microsoft applications for time, attendance and other human resources functions, as well as disaster management activities.
ACT has provided systems support to FEMA since 1993 in prime contractor and subcontractor roles, according to GCN.
The new contract calls for ACT to deliver tier one and tier two assistance to FEMA computer users, including those in the National Response Coordination Center.
The firm will also kit out the National Disaster Medical System portable hospitals for use in disaster zones with LANs.
Additionally, ACT will provide joint field offices, which are fixed facilities that FEMA sets up to manage recovery operations in disaster areas.
