Transparent Classification is expected to help maximize nurse resources by providing a patient acuity and nursing staff resource management system which removes the need for data input and minimizes the ongoing maintenance and staff education requirements traditionally associated with these systems.
QuadraMed worked with North Country Hospital in Newport, Vermont to develop the Transparent Classification protocols. Carol Casey, North Country clinical information systems coordinator, said of the new product: The major benefits are that our staff nurses no longer spend time in a redundant process. All of the patients are classified and we have seen improvements in our patient care documentation.
The critical translation program for Transparent Classification was developed in-house by QuadraMed, who also created an interface that will enable the system to work with competitors’ EDS.
