The HealthMatics ED platform is an emergency department information system (EDIS) that streamlines all activities within the unit. The addition of risk management information will enable users to access real-time clinical information and medical decision support from The Risk Management Consortium, a group of physicians, nurses, risk management experts, patient safety experts and malpractice attorneys.
It is hoped this will reduce the possibility of medical errors and improve patient care quality.
HealthMatics ED users will have the ability to access integrated clinical tutorials that highlight high-risk sections or areas that can impact patient safety for physicians, mid-level providers and nurses, so they can improve clinical decision making in a busy environment.
