SteelCloud will receive an initial order of $300,000 to begin the rollout during the company’s first and second fiscal quarters ending January 31, 2007 and April 30, 2007. Following this, the company will receive an additional $500,000 in January to complete the rollout of the servers, with the anticipated delivery to occur throughout the second half of the company’s fiscal year, which ends on October 31, 2007.
The servers will be used for new bar code scanning applications incorporating SteelCloud features tailored for an industrial environment. These include cooling and filtration to withstand the heat and dust found in factory automation environments, as well as providing specially mounted hard drives to endure the shock and vibration conditions found in industrial settings.
We continue to see increased demand for SteelCloud specialized servers from both our existing and new customers, said Clifton Sink, SteelCloud CEO and president. We believe that federal integrators and independent software vendors see SteelCloud as their ‘virtual hardware engineering division,’ which lets them spend their efforts on application software work and leave the specialized hardware and system software to SteelCloud.
