SAS streamlines drug development

SAS Institute underscored its dominance in the life sciences sector by launching an updated drug development solution that helps pharmaceutical firms speed up their clinic trials analysis and bring products to market quicker.

The Cary, North Carolina-based analytic software firm says the new version of its Drug Development 3.0 solution comes packed with a range of analytic and collaborative features designed to streamline the clinic trial lifecycle. The solution is on top of the SAS 9 Intelligence Platform and can be deployed in either standalone or hosted mode.

Speeding up clinical research for regulatory submission is a critical differentiator for life sciences firms. Even small delays can potentially result in millions of lost dollars. SAS life sciences customers include Merck & Co, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, NeoPhram and Sankyo.
