Northrop purchased Cimnet’s software to integrate business systems, increase productivity and improve efficiency.
The software suite includes ‘I-Quote’, an open quotation system which aggregates web-based inputs, a rules-based costing engine, workflows and quote analysis before generating quotes.
‘Paradigm’, a set of real time, integrated software modules which provides tools for tasks including sales management, material, pre-production engineering and production as well as plant maintenance, will also be implemented.
According to Mike Davis of Northrop’s engineering team, Cimnet Systems’ ‘Engenix’ job module will greatly speed up the process of creating stack-ups, bills of material, and routers for basic, as well as complex, sequentially laminated jobs. These improvements will result in reduced front-end tooling time and costs, as well as improved accuracy of the job planning process.
