The companies said the alliance will attempt to enhance Umetrics’ software in multivariate/chemometrics analysis by adding TCGIvega’s skills in data architecture design and integration.
The aim of the agreement is to address the need for seamless data connectivity in the process analytical technology (PAT) domain, as many pharmaceutical and biotech companies are thought to have separate data architecture systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution System), LIMS (Lab Information Management System), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Dada Acquisition) systems.
The Food and Drug Administration said that one objective of PAT is the multivariate analysis of real time production data, which requires combining the information in all data systems. The new partnership aims to achieve this by including Umetrics’ real-time and off-line multivariate software, which intends to enable data to flow from source to analysis and visualization.
