The privately-held software company has announced ProClarity 6 YellowStone, a release which officials say is developed in-line with the key advancements of SQL Server 2005 Community Technology Previews [a fancy term for beta release].
YellowStone refers to a ProClarity 6 system specifically configured to connect to SQL Server Analysis Services. The release supports several new BI features expected in SQL Server 2005, notably a unified dimensional model (UDM), a new performance indicator framework, expanded dimension types, and support for XML for Analysis, which is a new communication protocol for Analysis Services 2005.
Officials at Boise, Idaho-based ProClarity promise to support broader SQL Server 2005 functionality in subsequent releases.
SQL Server 2005, formerly codenamed Yukon, is expected in the second half of this year. Production dates for the product have sipped horribly after Microsoft originally talked of a 2004 debut.
