ViTALCardia includes software for diagnosis and a web-based thin-client distribution technology to provide access to images throughout the cardiology enterprise.

The company also announced that Toshiba America Medical Systems will be offering the platform to its customers in conjunction with its new Aquilion 64 CFX multislice CT scanner. This partnership extends the existing one between the two firms, which has seen Toshiba offer Vital’s radiologist software Vitrea 2 with its Aquilion CT scanners.

ViTALCardia encompasses several Vitrea applications including coronary vessel analysis, cardiac functional analysis, calcium scoring and peripheral vessel analysis. The company also said the product enables viewing of 2D, 3D and 4D cardiac images of the heart, tools to plan intra-vascular procedures and accessibility to important images.
