The Bank will use LogicaCMG’s RTGS product CAS (Central Accounting System) browser, enabling commercial bank participants to connect to the CAS and Swift networks for transmission of payments.

The governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Savenaca Narube, said, the implementation of the new national payments infrastructure is an intrinsic part of the Reserve Bank’s overall plan to modernize the financial system in Fiji.

The Bank of Fiji will join fifteen other central banks including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, which are using LogicaCMG’s CAS product.
