Comau Pico’s adoption of MatrixOne PLM comes after several implementations of MatrixOne in other business units of the Comau Group, such as Italy-based Powertrain and Robotics, who are utilizing the solution to enable their remote subsidiaries access to the common, centralized technical data repository.
The Comau Group has employed MatrixOne’s PLM environment as a means toward a standardized, global solution for technical data management.
David Wang, director of information technology for Comau Pico, said: In order for our business to continue to run at a high rate of efficiency and to continue producing error-free products and services for our clients, we needed a new infrastructure that could allow us to more easily and effectively share design information, and that would give us the option for future expansion. MatrixOne’s PLM environment was able to offer us a way to solve these issues and to improve upon our existing processes.
