Strobe 3.1 includes the addition of support for IBM’s DB2 version 8, in both new function and compatibility modes. IT departments can now find and fix performance problems in applications using DB2, enabling them to migrate from DB2 V7 to DB2 V8, or develop and deploy V8 applications.

Compuware Strobe 3.1 also supports WebSphere Application Server, complementing its existing support for Java. Strobe 3.1 provides information on how Java and WebSphere applications interact with CICS, DB2, and other z/OS assets.

New in iStrobe 2.0 is a web server architecture that can run on both mainframe and distributed web servers, according to Compuware. The new architecture improves centralized access and reduces requirements for user workstations, as well as offering improved profile management so users can document and share their own performance hints. There is also enhanced Java support and improved report sorting. iStrobe integrates with Compuware Application Reliability Solution and Compuware VantageView 9.
