Agents whose carriers are sending information to Ivans eCommerce Server (ECS) can use their existing broadband connections to retrieve files, which aims to eliminate the need for using a modem or a one-off process to access information from carriers by allowing ECS to retrieve the download for them.
The product capitalizes on the success of ECS, which saw the number of independent agents using the Internet Solution increase by almost one-third in 2004, and the number of carriers offering ECS triple to 150.
ECS is part of the Ivans suite of internet offerings that provide a complete software for insurance-industry communications, including translation, real time, batch and non-agency transactions.
