San Antonio, Texas-based Rackspace already offers Linux managed hosting thanks to relationships with Red Hat Inc and Novell Inc, while it also has a relationship with MySQL AB to enable the open source database vendor’s MySQL Hosting offering.
The deal with Atlanta, Georgia-based JBoss sees Rackspace reselling JBoss subscription support services as part of its Intensive enterprise Linux hosting service. It is the first certified JBoss hosting service available on the market.
The service includes installation, management, patching and support for Java 2 Enterprise Edition application components including JBoss AS, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle and MySQL.
