Steel Card provides web-based personal lines software for the property and casualty insurance industry. Its capabilities include rating, rules, forms, internet quoting and purchasing, and full policy processing for all personal lines.

Steel Card and its products will be integrated into ChoicePoint’s insurance software and process outsourcing business, Insurity, which is based in Hartford, Connecticut. These new capabilities will be marketed as part of Insurity’s Insurance Decisions suite of products and services.

Jeff Glazer, ChoicePoint’s SVP for insurance services, says that with the integration of ChoicePoint’s underwriting data services, carriers will be able to more effectively use data throughout the insurance process, making it easier for agents and consumers to do business.

In July, ChoicePoint bought Insuratec, a provider of lien holder and mortgagee notification services to the property and casualty insurance industry, and ePolicy, a software vendor for commercial insurance carriers.
