Vienna, Virginia-based Convera says it has already begum to modify its RetrievalWare search and retrieval platform to allow for automatic indexing across hundreds of distributed data sources.

Convera’s software is already being used by over 250 government institutions worldwide, including over 100 intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

Convera’s indexing advancements will be helpful for enhancing search results, particularly with foreign languages, said Gilman Louie, CEO at Arlington, Virginia based In-Q-Tel.

Launched in 1999, In-Q-Tel is focused on developing security applications, intelligence gathering and evidence analysis software for US national security interests.
