Paris, France-based OKYZ has developed a Raider3D product suite that enables users to create a copy of a 3D scene from CAD/CAM and other design applications. Users can then exchange 3D models by email, embed 3D content in Microsoft Office and web documents, and organize real-time 3D conferences between manufacturers and suppliers.
OKYZ software is aimed at the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and oil & gas industries.
Ivan Koon, senior vice president of Adobe’s Intelligent Documents Business Unit, said there is a significant trend towards 3D-based collaboration. He said OKYZ would bring 3D technology and expertise to ongoing efforts to enable customers to exchange a wide variety of content in PDF format.
