Electronic Arts (EA) is said to be using technology from Qualcomm’s Brew unit to release 15 to 20 games for mobile phones this year, adding to its current videogame offerings for consoles and hand-held devices.
The alliance follows the company’s recent foray into the industry, having released a couple of games from it Tiger Woods and FIFA Soccer franchises only last year. Mobile phone games are reported to be less expensive to develop and distribute than console games or hand-held versions.
