GTS says that by opening the trade services windows in California, it can accelerate the processing of export transactions and streamline the global supply chain for clients both local and worldwide.
Clients on the west coast will receive local customer service and processing of their letter of credit transactions. Citigroup says they will benefit from rapid turnaround time on trade transactions and queries, while also gaining integrated services for settlement, risk mitigation, trade finance and information services. The firm expects the new windows to shorten west coast transaction time significantly.
