Protexis says it has tailored its digital rights management (DRM) and trial technologies with new flexible options that will provide a full service for game publishers without involving modifications to the source code.
The company has also unveiled an online Gamer Support Center to provide direct support to consumer buyers of Protexis-enabled games.
With the explosion of online game distribution, game publishers need services designed specifically for the gaming market that are channel-neutral and easy-to-implement, said Protexis CEO Karl Hirsch. Protexis is unique in that we are a trusted third party services provider that can power all channels of distribution, direct and indirect, online and offline.
Game publishers use the program by submitting application files onto the platform which are then enabled with Protexis technology and e-commerce services. These can be implemented together or separately and include a payment processing and transaction management system, registration and trialware services and licensing management systems combined with anti-piracy DRM.
