The 30-physician practice with 15 locations across Arizona will also serve as a beta site for InteGreat’s new IC-Manage practice management system (PMS), which will replace ACS’s current PMS.

The entire ACS staff of 350, including doctors, nurses, medical technicians and billing staff, will use IC-Chart to record their daily encounters. ACS’s EHR committee conducted a year-long selection process to evaluate numerous vendors, including Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, eClinicalWorks, GE Healthcare, Greenway Medical Technologies and Physician Micro Systems, and then chose two finalists to conduct onsite demonstrations for the clinic’s physicians.

We selected InteGreat based on its No. 2 KLAS ranking for EHRs and ease of use, says ACS controller Bill Fazio. In addition, the IC-MyHealthRecord patient portal will allow our patients to request appointments, prescriptions refills and become partners with their healthcare providers by accessing information via the patient portal.

We will save money on all office functions, including telephone calls, chart pulls, chart supplies, prescription refills and transcription costs. Over time, these savings will pay for IC-Chart, explains Fazio. IC-Chart also enables physicians to customize templates allowing them to document and charge their encounters on the spot, thereby adding data entry to the list of cost savings.
