Lenovo’s so-called Innovation Center would be a facility for customers and software vendors to trial new technologies and services, Lenovo said.

The center would work with customers on technology incubation, partner collaboration, product development, imaging and training services, as well as serving as a product showcase for its founding members.

This is the second R&D center of its kind that Lenovo has opened since it bought IBM’s PC business earlier this year. In May, it opened a similar facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
