Inmarsat will announce their new open technology strategy today at the inaugural Inmarsat Developer Conference.
The three-day event, hosted at Inmarsat’s headquarters in London, will bring together developers and companies from around the world to hear about Inmarsat’s plans.
Under discussion will be the future of satellite communications and how they can be used in industries including maritime, enterprise, aviation and government.
Today’s event will feature a keynote speech delivered by Ian Kennedy of Cisco, a key strategic partner of the British satellite telecoms firm. Titled ‘Disruptive Innovation in a Hyper-connected Future’, it will describe a vision of 2020 and how sensors and actuators will have changed the way we work.
