The Front End Business Integration initiative aims to provide students with information about financial aid and manage loan applications in a more streamlined, integrated and cost-effective manner. The Federal Student Aid office selected Pearson Government Solutions, a division of Arlington, Virginia-based Pearson, to integrate the program earlier this month.

As part of the project, EDS will work with Pearson Government Solutions’ Integrated Product Team to provide application architecture, enterprise application integration, data strategy, software development, business process re-engineering, business intelligence, imaging and data capture services. It will also support the development of an enterprise platform based on flexible component based architecture following Service Oriented Architecture design principles.

Jim Duffey, EDS vice president, global sales and client solutions – U. S. government, said the company is looking forward to helping enhance a vital program that turns the dream of a post-secondary education into a reality for millions of Americans.
