Version 2 of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2006 is adding several new Ajax components including WebGrid, WebReport, WebTreeView, WebTabStrip and WebTopicBar.
As a framework of user interface components that bolts into Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, the ComponentOne product is not an Ajax niche development tool. Consequently, it also provides support for core Windows and mobile development thanks to support of Microsoft’s Compact Framework. The company boasts offering over 180 visual components.
Among other bells and whistles in the new version, version 2 enhances WinForm (Windows client) and WebForm (web client) charts with the ability to add lighting effects and drop shadows. And it adds productivity features such as enabling developers to set common properties without leaving the design surface.
