The Bolder, Colorado-based company is one of a number of open source services firms to have sprung up in the last few years and has expanded its offerings from technical support to consulting with the new JumpStart program.
The offering complements its existing OpenLogic Enterprise offering, which packages together a choice of between 160 open source programs with configuration and management functionality.
While that service is designed to take the hassle out of deploying open source software, the JumpStart program is designed to make it easier for users to generate a policy for the selection and use of open source software.
The program includes a two-part workshop on policy generation, a workbook on key decision-making factors for open source software selection, a ninety-day license for OpenLogic Enterprise, and 90 days of support.
It is not the first time the company has come up with a different approach to open source services. In May it introduced the OpenLogic expert Community, a program through which it pays open source expert to solve customer problems.
