Verizon’s IP Tollfree is a network-based service that lets contact centers transfers inbound toll-free calls and other real-time communications over IP. The second new offering, IP IVR, processes calls using IP over a network to take advantage of technology such as voice compression and bandwidth allocation. Both of these services can be integrated with software from Avaya, according to a Verizon release.
The third service, IP Trunking, connects IP phones over one converged access line for incoming and external communication. The service is available for businesses that already have Avaya phones.
