The expansion into the Nordic region further strengthens Apple’s presence in the digital music market. According to the company, the iTunes Music Store has gained access to 70% of the global music market with stores in 19 countries, two years after its arrival.

In Switzerland, Apple and Swiss financial services firm UBS are planning to announce a promotion in conjunction with the iTunes launch that will offer a free song as part of the new UBS Generation and UBS Campus packages. UBS is also offering song cards for music downloads in its branches, which it says can be used instead of a credit card to purchase tracks from the iTunes Music Store.
