Raizner, previously CEO of IBM Deutschland, will join Deutsche Telekom’s board of management as board member responsible for broadband and fixed line. He will succeed Kai-Uwe Ricke as chairman of the supervisory board of T-Online.

At the same time, Thomas Holtrop will resign from DT’s board of management, and as CEO of T-Online. T-Online’s supervisory board was due to meet this weekend, and to confirm CFO Rainer Beaujean as CEO of the unit.

In its most recent results, released last month, DT said the T-Online International AG Internet unit, in which it owns a 74% stake, recorded an 11.4% rise in sales after using discounts to sign up more clients for high-speed Internet access. However, the powerhouse of DT’s figures is its wireless unit, T-Mobile.
