RIM, which previously announced its plan to debut its BlackBerry in the Chinese market, said China Mobile initially would focus on support multinational companies with operations in China.
China Mobile would soon roll out the RIM service nationwide and sell SIM cards to support it, said Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM.
Availability of BlackBerry devices and BlackBerry Enterprise Server would be announced at a later date, said the company.
The collaboration of China Mobile and RIM will extend the reach of BlackBerry to a large and important market, said RIM co-chief executive Jim Balsillie, in a statement.
