Slough, UK-based Anite has spent most of the last year selling off businesses it deemed to be non-core as it looks to focus on three core vertical markets: public sector, telecoms, and travel.

It offloaded its space consultancy business to Vega Group Plc for 7.5m pounds ($13.8m) in September 2004 and it sold its telecom billing systems business Calculus to Azure Solutions Ltd for 0.75m pounds ($1.4m) in November 2004.

A month later it completed the sale of its transport consultancy business to Trapeze Inc for 0.9m pounds ($1.7m), and it sold its French consultancy arm Datavance to management buyout team Financiere RDM for $24m in February 2005. Last month it sold its Austrian subsidiary, Anite Consulting GmbH, to Softlab GmbH for 3.7m euros ($4.7m) in cash.

Anite will announce its preliminary results for the year ended April 30, on July 12.
