According to Dialogic, the integrated service has been deployed at carriers in Asia and Latin America. Kirusa’s Voice SMS is a service that allows subscribers to record a voice message in the same way that they send an SMS text message.

Kirusa’s KV.SMS service lets carriers deploy Voice SMS services rapidly, said Dialogic. It also provides the open standards to embrace all generations of CDMA and GSM networks, while enabling support for next-generation infrastructures such as 3G and IP multimedia subsystem (IMS).

Ewald Anderl, chief technology officer of Kirusa, said: Voice SMS is the next-generation messaging application that is quickly gaining momentum among carriers around the world. The Vision VX VoiceXML Server provides the development speed to bring Voice SMS and additional mobile value added services rapidly to market while its proven carrier grade platform allows an ease of deployment within operator networks.
