According to Zi, its Qix for Windows Mobile 6.1 will allow users to access the device’s content and features without having to remember where and how to locate them.

According to Zi Corporation, Qix is claimed to allow users to find contacts, applications, bookmarks, music and other device content by entering real words on their keypads or keyboards. This Windows Mobile version of Qix includes an indexing feature for media and content files like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and ZIP files.

Milos Djokovic, president and CEO of Zi Corporation, said: This is a significant milestone for Zi and Qix. Both Telus and HTC are respected brands in the mobile telephony space and this first device could open the door to mass-market deployment of Qix.
