According to the company, its Horizons is a device management solution that enables enterprises, resellers and device manufacturers to manage deployed smart wireless devices, regardless of platform or carrier in a single system. With Horizons, administrators can deploy applications, issue patches and disable devices all over-the-air.
The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) membership represents nearly 200 companies, including many mobile operators, device and network suppliers, IT companies, and content providers. The group establishes specifications that ensure interoperable mobile services across countries, operators and mobile terminals. OMA’s device management (DM) protocol is specified by the DM Working Group.
