The company said Primax has entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement covering its patents for both past and future sales of the relevant products in the US.

In July, the company filed a patent infringement suit with the ITC over seven patents related to U2 and Tilt Wheel technology after repeated attempts to engage Primax in a licensing agreement failed.

Horacio Gutierrez, vice president and deputy general counsel of intellectual property and licensing at Microsoft, said: We are very pleased that Primax has chosen to respect Microsoft’s intellectual property and entered into a licensing agreement with Microsoft. Our U2 and Tilt Wheel innovations and technologies have more than 30 licensees in the mouse and keyboard industry.
