Enhancements in Hansen 8.1 streamline search and document management capabilities, improving areas such as asset management, customer service management (CSM), and billing for governments and municipalities.

According to the company, the Hansen 8.1 features expanded search options and criteria, enabling governments to use specific search parameters. New listing choices provide users options for displaying search results. The solution’s new document management interface enables governments to attach documents to records in the Hansen system for reference and review. To provide flexibility when searching for address ranges, the system now features enhanced address look-up and property browsing capabilities. The new functionality to the system’s core components increases user satisfaction and productivity.

The company claims that Hansen 8.1 features additional tools for asset management, including budgetary analysis. Governments can use the new tools to develop multi-year budgeting plans for assets. New reporting features enable users to choose from additional criteria and formats for reports. With the software’s innovative Building InfoViewer, users can move assets associated with a building from one floor to another and from room to room to maintain an accurate, clear view of a government’s asset locations.

Improvements to Hansen’s CSM features enable governments to increase accountability and the speed with which they can respond to citizen issues. Through an enhanced user interface, the system includes tools that simplify the process of recording inspection results and resolving service requests. With additional service status codes, governments are able to conduct more flexible searches by defining codes and allowing different statuses, such as assigned, scheduled, and resolved. The new recording and reporting functionality enables governments to track issues better and provide rapid responses to citizen requests.

New to Hansen 8.1 are tools that help improve billing processes. The system now includes bankruptcy processing tools for billing accounts and two new search tools, for refund look-up and look-up adjustments, which provide users with more options to view billing results. In addition, the billing functions are now integrated with Hansen – Cashiering, enabling users to search for and pay bills and one-off charges from the Cash Register. This functionality simplifies and speeds the process of bill-pay for governments.
