Orsyp Software, a provider of enterprise workload automation services, has released Unijob, an IT system task automation tool for data centers and large IT environments.

In most organisations, Unix (Cron) jobs and Windows tasks usually exist in high volumes and are dispersed and disorganised. As a result, IT organisations end up spending time and resources tracking them down in order to monitor and maintain them. Orsyp claims that its Unijob helps transform this chaos into a controlled and predictable IT operations environment. It enables a faster mean time to repair in the event that a job fails.

Further, Unijob extends the benefits of Dollar Universe, Orsyp’s enterprise job scheduling by allowing IT operations to oversee mission critical and non-critical servers all from one console. Based on a peer-to-peer architecture and leveraging offered in service-oriented and event-driven technology, Dollar Universe is expected to enable IT operations to deliver services that respond to changing business needs, the company added.

Francois-Xavier Floren, president and CEO of Orsyp Software, said: This new offering is part of Orsyp’s strategy towards workload automation broker- readiness; it a key step in filling the gap between IT automation silos that exist today in most IT environments.
