Patient Access Solutions (PAS) said that phase one of this agreement between the two companies will use PASHealth digital pen technology and robust form capture to interface nursing and patient notes with Americare’s internal system.

Phase one is expected to consist of the deployment of D-PAS digital pens along with the design and implementation of over 15 custom nursing information forms. Nurses and home aides will be able to process paperwork in their usual work flow, while being able to digitally transfer the information back to the Americare main office using PAS’s D-PAS program.

Bruce Weitzberg, CEO and president of PAS, said: We look forward to integrating the D-PAS technology with Americare’s proprietary software system to help improve the efficiency and reporting needs of the home care industry and payer communities. The advantages of streamlining the paper process while improving productivity in the home care industry are obvious, and we are pleased with this agreement.
