According to Tyler, the Deer Park Independent School District (Deer Park ISD) becomes the 10th school district in Texas to invest in the company’s Munis financial management system. Deer Park ISD is expected to implement a full suite of financial and human resource applications.

Tyler said that the district will also improve reporting and document management with Tyler Business Objects, GASB 34 Reporter and Content Manager Limited Edition. The district has elected to deploy its Tyler applications using the role-tailored dashboard option. This web-based tool, which operates on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, reportedly enables users to launch their Tyler system programs and additional applications from a single work area.

David Webb, CFO of Deer Park ISD, said: Deer Park ISD expects to benefit from implementing Tyler’s financial management solution in several important ways. Tyler’s system will improve automation of routine, repetitive, recurring and reversing entries, as well as offer enhanced payroll and HR functionality and segregation of duties between departments.
